Bayreuth University Award for Digitally Based Teaching
This specific teaching award aims to encourage digitally based teaching-learning processes at UBT, which is requested by so many students. The award honours teachers who have dedicated themselves to digital teaching and learning processes, and have thus provided students with didactically based advanced learning possibilities. The basis on which this award is assigned, is our conception of application of digital resources in teaching.
Selection
In order to assign a winner, we look out for teaching-learning scenarios in which digital resources are implemented as a means of didactically supporting students’ learning processes. In collaboration with the university administration, the ZHL has developed an overall concept to promote digital resources in teaching. In this regard, the Bayreuth University Award for Digitally Based Teaching is assigned.
Endowment
The award is endowed with prize money. The prize money is intended for future digital teaching-learning projects. On top of that, the winner will receive funding for an e-tutor project, so they will not have to apply for funding separately. That money is meant to fund an e-tutor assistant over the course of five months, working 20 hours a week.
